NHA increases toll taxes by up to 30 percent

The National Highways Authority has announced a toll tax increase of up to 30% for vehicles on national highways and several motorways, effective from July 1.

The new rates apply to various routes including M-1 (Islamabad–Peshawar Motorway), M-3 (Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway), M-4 (Faisalabad-Multan Motorway), M-5 (Sukkur-Multan Motorway), and M-15 (Hazara Motorway), with no changes announced for the M-2 Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.

On national highways, the toll for cars has increased from Rs30 to Rs40, with higher tolls also applied to wagons, buses, and other vehicles.

Specifically, the toll for cars on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway (M-1) has risen from Rs240 to Rs350. On the M-3, the toll for vehicles has gone up from Rs390 to Rs500.

For the M-4 Motorway, car tolls have increased from Rs510 to Rs650, while the toll for the M-14 Islamabad–Dera Ismail Khan Motorway is now set at Rs550.
