No compromise on province’s rights and resources, says KP CM Gandapur

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has asserted that the province will not compromise on its rights and resources.

Speaking to the media outside the Prime Minister’s House, he voiced his opposition to the imposition of taxes on the former FATA and PATA regions and demanded the immediate release of federal funds owed to the province.

In a follow-up meeting, the chief minister emphasized the ongoing use of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s resources for national purposes. He stressed the importance of the province receiving its fair share in return for the benefit it provides to Pakistan.

Gandapur expressed openness to foreign investment, suggesting it could significantly contribute to the province’s development.

He assured that his attendance at the meeting was to represent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s interests, including addressing tax issues in FATA. He mentioned that assurances were made to resolve these concerns.

The CM highlighted the province’s contributions to affordable electricity through hydraulic projects, stressing the need to provide relief to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He stated that not paying the province’s dues would be an injustice to its people.
