Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif spoke with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan over the phone on Eid-ul-Adha Sunday.
They exchanged Eid greetings and wished well for both nations. They prayed for unity, peace, and prosperity among Muslim countries.
During their conversation, they discussed recent developments in trade, defense, and energy between their countries. They were pleased with the progress and agreed to continue strengthening their ties.
They also talked about common challenges like climate change. The Prime Minister praised Azerbaijan for hosting COP29 in Baku and accepted President Aliyev’s invitation to attend.
Both leaders affirmed their support for each other in international forums like the UN, OIC, and ECO.
The Prime Minister invited President Aliyev to visit Pakistan, and President Aliyev agreed to visit soon.
