Pakistan Cricket Team to return home without Babar Azam and 6 other players

The national cricket team’s captain, Babar Azam, will not return to the country with the team.

Following the end of the team’s journey in the World Cup, the players will catch their return flight to the country. However, Babar Azam, along with six other players, will stay in the United States for a few days.

Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Azam Khan will also stay in the United States. The rest of the national team players will begin their journey back home from Miami on Monday night. The cricketers will travel to their respective cities on different flights from Dubai.

The Pakistan team players will reach Pakistan early in the morning on June 19, while Babar Azam will depart for Pakistan on June 22.

The national cricket team’s head coach, Gary Kirsten, will head home after the World Cup assignment, while Mohammad Amir will stay in the US for a couple of days before joining Derbyshire in England.

It is worth mentioning that the Pakistan team failed to reach the Super 8 round of the World Cup.

The team lost two matches in the first round, including an upset loss to the USA, and also lost a winning match against India.
