Pakistan Navy deploys warship in Indian Ocean for maritime patrolling

The Pakistan Navy has deployed the naval warship PNS ASLAT for a regional maritime security patrol in the Indian Ocean.

According to the ISPR, PNS ASLAT will safeguard merchant vessels entering and leaving Pakistani ports, supported by dedicated helicopters.

This deployment aims to enhance the security of international shipping lanes.

During its mission, PNS ASLAT will engage in joint operations with friendly and partner nations, in addition to conducting its own operations.

The warship will also make port visits in the region, promoting maritime diplomacy.

“The ship is equipped with the latest weapons and sensors, capable of addressing multi-dimensional threats and performing a wide range of maritime operations,” the statement added.
