Pakistan squad reaches Birmingham for second T20I against England

The Pakistan men’s cricket team arrived in Birmingham from Leeds on Thursday to participate in the second T20I of the four-match series against England, set for May 25.

Upon reaching Birmingham, the team will rest today before engaging in a three-hour training session at Edgbaston on Friday.

The first T20I of the series between Pakistan and England was called off due to persistent rain at Headingley Stadium on Wednesday.

Considering the field conditions and ongoing rain, match officials decided to call off the series opener between Pakistan and England, half an hour before the scheduled coin toss.

The four-match T20I series, slated from May 22 to 30, serves as preparation for both teams ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan and England, as finalists in the previous edition, will skip the warm-up matches for this year’s mega event.
