Pakistani fan heartbroken as team falls to England; Babar Azam disappoints

After Pakistan’s 23-run loss to England, cricket fan Nabiha Khan was visibly upset, particularly by skipper Babar Azam’s performance, as he fell short of expectations after scoring only 32 runs.

Nabiha had arrived at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham with hopes high, even carrying keys to an expensive car for Babar if he scored a century, but the team’s defeat left her in tears.

Disappointed by Pakistan’s performance, Nabiha referenced Fakhar Zaman’s earlier remarks about a changed mindset, expressing regret for her misplaced optimism.

Despite Fakhar Zaman’s explosive innings of 45 runs, supported by Iftikhar Ahmed and Imad Wasim, Pakistan fell short, being bowled out for 160 while chasing a target of 184.

Jos Buttler’s stellar 84-run innings guided England to victory, with Reece Topley leading the bowling attack with three wickets.

The defeat marks England’s eighth win in the last 11 T20Is against Pakistan, with the series continuing with matches scheduled in Cardiff on May 28 and at The Oval on May 30.
