Pakistani hunter Syed Murtaza Zaidi secures 50-inch ibex trophy in Ghulkin

Syed Murtaza Zaidi, a well-known Pakistani hunter from Islamabad, hunted an ibex on April 25 in Gulkin, a village near Passu in the Hunza Valley. He obtained a license for the hunt.

In February, Zaidi also hunted a large ibex at the Khunjerav Villagers Organization (KVO) Conservancy in Gojal Hunza. Both of these trophies had horns longer than 50 inches.

In 2021, Zaidi hunted an Astore Markhor with 46-inch horns in the Dashkin-Mushkin-Tarbuling (DMT) conservation area in Astore. This made Zaidi the first Pakistani hunter to take an Astore Markhor through the trophy hunting program.
