A young student from Lahore, Pakistan, named Anthony Shaukat, tragically lost his life in Portugal when he bravely resisted a robbery attempt. Anthony had traveled to Portugal for a cancer research project, but his journey ended in a senseless act of violence.
Reports from the media state that Anthony was robbed of his mobile phone, cash, and laptop before being killed. His family shared that Anthony was a highly educated individual, having earned a master’s degree from Sweden and a PhD from Germany.
Now, his grieving family is pleading with the Pakistani government for justice and for the swift return of Anthony’s body to Pakistan.
