PDMA alerts for heat wave, stormy rains in Punjab

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) for Punjab issued a comprehensive alert on Wednesday, highlighting the imminent threats of a heat wave, rainfall, and storms anticipated to sweep through the region this week. According to the PDMA spokesperson, there’s a projected escalation in daytime temperatures by three to five degrees across Punjab from May 8th to 10th.

The spokesperson further elucidated that dusty winds accompanied by thunderous rain are anticipated to affect most districts within Punjab. Particularly, stormy rainfall is forecasted to occur in various regions of Punjab on May 10th and 11th.

The Director General of PDMA stated that district administrations throughout Punjab have been duly notified about the impending weather patterns. With the intensifying heat, the general public is urged to exercise caution and take necessary precautions. It is advisable to arrange schedules to avoid exposure to scorching winds, particularly during the afternoon hours.
