Peshawar Zalmi expresses reservations regarding PSL 9 schedule

According to reports, PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi is displeased with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) schedule for the ninth season, specifically challenging the decision to have only four games scheduled in Rawalpindi and one in Karachi.

The franchise objects strongly to the schedule and location selections, arguing that some matches ought to have been scheduled in Peshawar. According to sources, Zalmi was excluded from the decision-making process and their opinions were not given importance.

Allegedly, Peshawar Zalmi sought three matches outside of Peshawar prior to the schedule’s announcement, taking into account the strong support in Karachi and Rawalpindi. However, their requests were denied, and in addition to discontented fans, Peshawar Zalmi’s marketing and sales division are reportedly facing difficulties as well.

Even though Peshawar Zalmi will participate in PSL 9, they will continue to protest till their issues are resolved, as stated by sources.
