PIA suspends flights to UAE with new guidelines

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has issued travel guidelines for passengers heading to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to severe disruptions in air travel caused by heavy rain.

A PIA spokesperson announced that air operations to Dubai and Sharjah are temporarily suspended due to bad weather. Flights with several airlines, including PIA, are delayed or canceled. PIA said it would not resume its flights until conditions improve.

Despite the delays, PIA assures passengers that their safety is a top priority. The airline is keeping a close watch on the weather and will restart flights once it’s safe. Passengers whose flights are affected should contact PIA’s call center for the latest updates and to adjust their travel plans. PIA is committed to helping passengers through this difficult time, according to the spokesperson.

The airline encourages passengers to stay informed by following PIA’s guidance for a smoother travel experience during this period of uncertainty.

Meanwhile, the bad weather across the UAE has also impacted Emirates flights. Several flights at Dubai International Airport (DXB) have been canceled or rescheduled. Emirates issued a statement indicating that flights on May 2 could face delays due to weather disruptions.

Emirates canceled flights from Dubai to destinations like Istanbul, Johannesburg, Nairobi, Cairo, Amman, and Singapore. The airline apologized for the inconvenience and said it would re-accommodate affected passengers. Those wishing to rebook should contact their travel agent or nearest Emirates office. Emirates noted that all rebooking fees would be waived to reduce the impact on travelers.
