PM Shebaz Sharif’s speech was of a confused person, says Sheikh Rashid

Chairman Awami Muslim League Pakistan (AMLP) Sheikh Rashid criticized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, claiming that his remarks at the National and Provincial Assemblies were those of a confused person.

On Friday, Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid claimed that the Imran Khan Government fought the Coronavirus and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), whereas the present administration was engulfed in floods and the IMF.

Rashid claimed on Twitter that when oil prices fall on the global market, prices in Pakistan rise.

Speaking to PML-N members of the national and provincial parliament on Thursday, PM Shehbaz said the move was intended to help the average person, who was already feeling the effects of inflation.

The Prime Minister also exempted consumers who use up to 300 units of power every month from paying fuel adjustment fees.

The prime minister suggested exempting farmers from “water costs for agricultural irrigation in disaster-hit areas as well as waiving power bills for customers in flood-affected districts.
