PM Shehbaz delegates authority to ministers for hiring professional headhunting firms

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken a step towards decentralizing authority and enhancing efficiency by relinquishing his power to hire professional search firms. Instead, this authority has been delegated to ministers, advisors, and ministers of state.

According to insiders, this move allows ministries and divisions to independently engage headhunting firms to recruit experts and professionals, with the approval of the respective minister, advisor, or minister of state.

Previously, obtaining the Prime Minister’s approval for such hires often resulted in delays and obstacles.

The Establishment Division will now maintain a centralized pool of headhunting firms, ensuring a fair and competitive process for hiring professionals.

This decision, ratified by the Federal Cabinet through a circulated memo, underscores the government’s commitment to empowering ministers and streamlining decision-making processes.
