Police band booking fees for weddings increase

    In a recent development, the booking fees for police bands performing at weddings have been raised. The new fees will be applicable across different cities in Pakistan, including Lahore.

    The fee has been increased from 18,000 rupees to 40,000 rupees. In other cities, the booking fees have also been adjusted, ranging from 15,000 to 28,000 rupees.

    Under the revised fee structure, special discounts will be offered to certain individuals. Children of police employees will receive a 50% discount, while the children of martyrs will be entitled to an 80% discount.

    According to the details, the generated revenue from band bookings will be allocated for various purposes. Forty percent of the income will be directed toward a welfare fund, while 20 percent will be allocated for uniforms. The remaining 40 percent will be distributed among the band employees.

    The police band orchestra, which will be available for weddings, will comprise 14 employees. Additionally, the brass band will consist of 33 members, and the pipe band will have 32 members. The Band Police employs a total of 755 individuals, including 9 inspectors, 28 sub-inspectors, 55 ASIs, 98 head constables, 420 constables, and 145 reserve constables.

    These changes have been implemented to streamline the operations of the police band and enhance the overall efficiency of its services.
