Police imposes Section 144 around Punjab Assembly

Police says will take action against everyone who will try to take law into his hands during Punjab Assembly Elections

Strict security arrangements have been made for the election of a new Chief Minister in the Punjab Assembly on the orders of Inspector General Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan.

Lahore Police has prepared a special plan to ensure foolproof security and maintain law and order. Acting Capital City Police Officer Lahore Shahzada Sultan has directed officers to remain on high alert and implement the plan as formulated.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Operations and Senior Superintendent Police Operations will lead the entire operation. 6 Superintendents Police, 11 Deputy Superintendents Police, 19 Station House Officers and more than 2,200 constables and officials have been deployed on duty.

Members of the Provincial Assembly were brought to the Punjab Assembly from a local hotel under the supervision of special teams of Punjab Police.

Inspector General Punjab said that foolproof security arrangements have been ensured around the Punjab Assembly. The law and order situation will be ensured and no one will be allowed to take the law into his own hands.
