Prince William attends FA Cup final with George

Prince William and Prince George were in attendance at the FA Cup final last Saturday.

Amid cheers from the crowd, the Prince of Wales stepped onto the pitch as the two teams lined up before the game.

He greeted the finalists and shook hands with them at the packed Wembley Stadium during the clash between Manchester City and Manchester United.

During the event, the heir to the throne also engaged in conversation with England star and Manchester City captain Kyle Walker.

In April, William and George were present at Villa’s 2-1 victory against Lille in the first leg of the Europa Conference League quarter-final.

This marked their first public appearance since Kate’s announcement about her health battle in March.

As the President of the Football Association, William appeared enthusiastic while watching the intense match with his son Prince George from the royal box, as home rivals Manchester United and Manchester City faced off.

The palace confirmed William’s attendance at the game in North West London, where they were amidst a crowd of 90,000 fans.

Fans were thrilled by William and George’s presence, as the father-son duo captivated attention amid Kate’s health challenges.

This appearance follows Buckingham Palace’s announcement on Wednesday about postponing engagements that might detract from the upcoming election campaign after Rishi Sunak called for a surprise summer General Election on July 4.

William’s past experiences at FA Cup events haven’t always been smooth – in 2022, he faced boos from thousands of fans ahead of the match between Liverpool and Chelsea.
