Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s recent trip to India sparked a frenzy on Indian social media as pictures tracked her movements.
Reports from Indian media sources suggest that she may soon collaborate with filmmaker and composer Sanjay Leela Bhansali for an action film set in a different era.
A source close to Priyanka mentioned she’s currently in discussions with Bhansali regarding the project’s timeline, schedule, and costumes. Priyanka, aware of the public’s keen interest in her career, has been evaluating various scripts and meeting with different filmmakers before deciding on her next venture.
Apart from potentially teaming up with Priyanka, Bhansali is also slated to work with Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal for his upcoming film, “Love and War,” expected to release in December 2025.
Priyanka’s visit to India is primarily business-focused, with her concentrating on her production company as well.
Purple Pebble Pictures, her production house, recently partnered with Awedacious Originals to produce “Women Of My Billions,” a documentary highlighting women who have experienced violence. The documentary, directed by Ajitesh Sharma, chronicles a woman’s journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
Priyanka’s latest appearances include the film “Love Again” and the web series “Citadel” alongside Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci. Although initially expected to star in Farhan Akhtar’s “Jee Le Zaraa” with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, she had to withdraw due to scheduling conflicts. Besides her acting commitments, Priyanka is involved in various non-acting projects, including serving as an executive producer for the Academy Award-nominated documentary “To Kill a Tiger.”
With such a packed schedule both in front of and behind the camera, fans eagerly await Priyanka’s return to the screen, regardless of the time period of her next performance.
