PTI Founder takes on notice in latest NAB investigation

Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) challenging a summoning notice issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for a new inquiry into the Toshakhana case.

The petition seeks to have the NAB notice cancelled until a verdict is delivered. Barrister Salman Safdar, Usman Gil, and Khalid Chaudhry filed the plea on behalf of Imran Khan.

The new NAB inquiry alleges that Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were involved in the unauthorized sale of gifts. Both individuals were summoned by NAB Rawalpindi on April 16.

Meanwhile, Bushra Bibi’s plea is scheduled for hearing in the division bench of the IHC on Thursday, presided over by Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.
