PTI leader Hammad Azhar narrowly avoids arrest attempt in Lahore

PTI leader Hammad Azhar, who was designated an absconder in the May 9 Jinnah House assault case, narrowly avoided arrest during a police search in Lahore’s Jafaria Colony.

Following a tip-off, the police were foiled by PTI members who caused a ruckus, enabling Azhar to flee. The police eventually apprehended two people involved in the escape and filed charges against them at the Shirakot police station.

Previously, on December 10, an anti-terrorism court in Lahore declared ten former and current PTI officials, including Hammad Azhar, as criminals in connection with the May 9 riots.
