PTI president Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi challenges election eligibility in SC

The PTI President Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has lodged a petition with the Supreme Court, seeking to overturn the Lahore High Court’s judgment from January 13.

The petition underscores Elahi’s determination to contest the upcoming general elections, despite recent developments and external pressures.

Concurrently, revelations from his wife, Qaisara Elahi, shed light on attempts by PML-Q President Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain to persuade Pervaiz Elahi to leave the PTI and step out of legal troubles.

However, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi remains steadfast in his commitment to the PTI, as affirmed in his recent clarification.

Meanwhile, Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, who has retired from politics, encourages Pervaiz Elahi to follow suit, emphasizing the need for the next generation to take the reins of political leadership.
