PTI’s Gohar Ali Khan announces SC review for retaining ‘Bat’ symbol

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stated on Wednesday that the nation cannot endure further experiments, emphasizing the need for universal acceptance of the people’s decision on February 8.

Addressing PTI workers in Buner, Gohar called for an end to all disputes despite the injustices faced by PTI, advocating for a ceasefire.

He underscored PTI’s efficient conduct of intra-party elections among the 175 political parties, contrasting it with the acceptance of smaller-scale elections by other parties.

Questioning the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) reluctance to accept PTI’s intra-party elections held in a crowded assembly, Gohar pointed out the contrasting approval of JUI-F’s elections in a small room and PPP’s elections in Zardari’s drawing room.

Gohar criticized PML-N and PPP for not conducting intra-party elections in any province, highlighting that the ECP only accepted elections for four seats as intra-party elections.

Regarding the withdrawal of PTI’s electoral symbol, the “bat,” Gohar expressed confidence in regaining the lost symbol. Despite complaints with the judiciary and state institutions, he emphasized PTI’s consistent trust in the judiciary.
