PTI’s Yasmin Rashid discharged from hospital

According to sources, Dr. Yasmin Rashid was admitted to the hospital due to stomach issues and dehydration. She was discharged after completing her antibiotic course. Sources confirmed that her health has improved, and she has been transferred back to jail following her discharge.

Previously, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was moved from Kot Lakhpat Jail to Services Hospital due to high blood pressure and diarrhea. The Medical Officer at Kot Lakhpat Jail described her health condition as ‘not satisfactory’.

The medical report indicated that Dr. Rashid’s blood pressure was critically high at 160/110. The Medical Officer noted that she had been unable to eat or drink anything since the previous day, leading to severe dehydration. The report stated, “Yasmin Rashid’s body has been dehydrated due to vomiting.”

Dr. Rashid, a former provincial minister, has been incarcerated over her alleged involvement in the May 9 riots. She was indicted by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) along with her party colleagues, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed and Ejaz Chaudhry, for their roles in the May 9 vandalism case. The PTI leaders were booked at Shadman police station for acts of vandalism on May 9, 2023, following the arrest of the former prime minister in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
