Punjab extends winter break and postpones exams

Amidst a surge in pneumonia cases, Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi of Punjab extends winter vacations up to grade 1 students and postpones all exams as a precautionary measure.

The decision, made during an emergency meeting at the Children’s Hospital in Lahore, aims to safeguard young children from the severe cold weather prevailing in the province.

With eight out of ten children reported to be affected by pneumonia, Naqvi expresses deep concern, highlighting the vulnerability of infants under six months to the harsh weather conditions.
