Punjab Judiciary undergoes extensive transfer process

Significant alterations have been made within the judicial landscape of Punjab, as recently announced by the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC). The directive entails the transfer of numerous judicial officers, marking a notable shift in the administrative framework.

Chief Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmad Khan of the Lahore High Court has issued comprehensive transfer orders affecting a total of 191 Additional Session Judges, along with four Senior Civil Judges and 171 Civil Judges.

These transfers represent a concerted effort to reallocate judicial responsibilities and enhance the efficiency of the judiciary across Punjab.

Following the approval of these transfer directives by Chief Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmad Khan, Registrar Abdul Rasheed Abid has subsequently issued official notifications outlining the reassignment of judges.

This procedural step acknowledges the formalization and implementation of the proposed transfers within the judicial system, reflecting a commitment to uphold the principles of judicial governance and equitable distribution of judicial duties.
