The Punjab Transport and Mass Transit Department has effectively enrolled 25,000 rickshaws through the ‘Retrofitted Three-Wheeler’ portal since its launch in January 2024.
Moreover, 22,000 Special Registration Vouchers (SRVs) have been issued as part of this effort.
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) created the portal to streamline the registration process for three-wheelers in the province.
This platform has simplified registration and documentation procedures, ensuring efficiency and transparency.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, while leading a progress review meeting, emphasized that this initiative not only benefits stakeholders but also improves transportation services in Punjab.
