Revision of script with changed characters

There is a very thin line to justify PTI protest on 9 May episode and State Institution’s ongoing reaction. However, PTI’s scope in Pakistani politics runs more and more painful after 9 May horrific incident. The current situation merits  to refer it a classic example of a banana republic like we read-out about Myanmar, Sudan, IHK or few other undemocratic countries as merciless atrocities are been inflicted here on opposition party members. Arrests, alleged torture, kidnappings, change of loyalties, bulk of audio leaks of royal family members, cases of treachery and rebellion etc. are widespread. PTI electable are deserting Imran Khan like Amir Kayani from Rawalpindi, Mehmood Molvi, Jey Parkash, Ali Zaidi and Ramzan Khanchi from Karachi, Mian Ibad Farooq from Lahore Karim Baksh Gabol, Zaheer ud Din, Dr. Hassham, Zulfiqar Ali Shah and many more in the queue. Reportedly Fawad Chaudhary also agrees to leave PTI camp. The process of dismantling PTI by deep forces is on as they did once to assemble it, years back.

Talking about Hon’ble executive court that felt terrified on 15 May to the torment bearded militia, trained to ran-sack and jeopardise anything, any place or anyone come in their way. No government resistance seen in federal Capital to them while penetrating into Court premises and Islamabad’s acclaimed secured area however, Section-144 was intact, how amazing.

On the other hand, the blatant use of 3-MPO and 16-MPO against PTI leadership by tricking judicial rulings, indicates law transient behaviour by the law enforcement agencies, the political workers of lesser God are continuously being declared as anti-state elements and imprisoning them without any justified proof of being involved in burning and demolishing sensitive premises. So far, more than 3000 PTI leaders and adherents nabbed only from Lahore and countless from other cities, all are languishing in jails, reportedly they would be tried under military courts, if formed. Branding female protestors as terrorist qualify unjust political attitude on part of government and we have paid price in past for such behaviors.

All this can be agreeable to the extent; if few hundred extremists from general mob be exactly identified from 9 and 10 May events, however, the events were highly condemnable but a ruthless crack-down would also spread an anti-establishment, anti-PDM and finally anti-Pakistan sentiments in the families of the detainees. Democratic and ethical norms must prevail in the matters of justice. PTI partisans are largely held from every nook and corner of the State. In a democratic system, the current suffocative atmosphere is detestable where a political party having majority of followers as reflected by almost every second independent survey conducted locally or abroad. What has been happening here, isn’t it the revival of another wave of extremism in Country, we haven’t moved an inch forward since independence. Every time political preys keep changing while the predators remain same.

The crime of PTI protestors was crossing the red line by vandalising and torching Jinnah House, actually the Corpse Commander, Lahore residence; however, the infuriated mob was never stopped by any law-enforcement agency sensing a drafted follow-up strategy. Numerous videos circulating in social media clearly identify Dr. Yasmin Rashid and few other leaders asking and requesting brainless mob not to enter Jinnah House but still she and others are being punished for the crime of leading a mob towards sensitive Installations. How comes the jawans could let anybody cross a sacred premises without their consent. The Shuhada Monuments were also ragged, particularly in KPK jurisdiction. On 9th May there were 32 esteemed memorials were burnt and on the following day more than 40 sites were targeted without any resistance in governance-less atmosphere. After bearing an international disgrace, both civil and military leaderships show their resolve to hold a thorough witch-hunt operation and to penalise the proposed culprits under military act, remember this is about civilians.

Let’s have a look on other side of the story; PTI chairman, Imran Khan struggled for around two decades to build a generation who should not be the blind followers of inherital political system. He had a powerful anti-communist narrative and mostly youth carried his political agenda, particularly the emotional pakhtoon belt was massively fascinated by him to an extent that hundreds of pakhtoons have left their homes and living in Zaman Park camping, however, a large number of literate overseas Pakistanis also like him. The arrest of Imran Khan by NAB had exasperated his followers who raided some sensitive military installations. They caused the damage that is an unbearable phenomenon for Pakistani citizens and military itself. The reaction was naturally adverse and they are bearing it.

Here comes the point to ponder, do we think by commencing un-pitiable raids and arrests would teach this generation a lesson of morality. Do their families would feel soothness after seeing their off springs being tried in military courts and languishing in jails for years, some would be penalised to death. We have an indepth study of drone attacks’ after affects in the shape of suicides, IEDs and planted bomb attacks on security agencies and civilian sites.

That was mostly based on revenge actions, the revenge of those innocents who were intentionally or unintentionally killed by drone attacks. The same wave was bearded by US forces in Afghanistan. So, we have a narrow way of understanding the criticality of the situation. Trieng own people is not fine unless we exactly identify the true culprits who would merely be in few hundreds throughout the country. We may wish the revision of same script with changed characters won’t happen this time as we have been bearing since years and years.
