Ryan Reynolds has been appointed as the Chief Island Officer (CIO) for Yas Island Abu Dhabi, a prominent leisure and entertainment destination in the region.
The announcement was made by Reynolds himself in a video posted on Instagram, where he skydives onto the Yas Marina Circuit before revealing his new role.
Reynolds, known for his roles in movies like ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Red Notice’, will now be tasked with promoting the destination to an international audience.
This announcement follows a teaser video on Yas Island’s Instagram page featuring a mystery figure.
Reynolds takes over the position from Jason Momoa, who held the role last year, succeeding Kevin Hart.
Liam Findlay, CEO of Miral Destinations, expressed excitement about Reynolds’ appointment, highlighting his charisma and energy which are expected to enhance the Yas Island experience.
