Sameena Nazir’s book of short stories is going places, exciting the Pakistani literati

Actor, theatre instructor and writer Sameena Nazir recently published her collection of short stories titled Kallo. Originally published by Maktaba-e-Danyal in Karachi where the versatile artist resides, the book is gradually reaching other cities.

A discussion panel gathered for the book in Islamabad on October 15 with the presence of greats like Sarmad Sehbai, after which Nazir was also found publicizing her book at Jhelum Book Corner. A lot of celebrities also praised the book such as screenwriter Faseeh Bari Khan, theatre and television performer Kaif Ghaznavi and model and actor Rabiya Chaudhry, who also organized an online discussion on the book.

Nazir grew as a lovable figure among Pakistanis after her role of a fussy woman named Najma in a popular ARY soap called Babban Khala Ki Betiyan. Since then, the entire country has developed a great liking for the cultured woman that Nazir is. The book that introduces her as a creative writer has everyone excited, for people are sure that Nazir, through her writing, will acquaint them with the true culture of Hyderabad.
