Fans can’t help admiring Sarwat Gilani for her decision to opt for a green coloured national dress at Cannes Film Festival for year 2022.
The Pakistani actress made it to the international event after her film ‘Joyland’, directed by Saim Sadiq, got selected for exhibition at Cannes. The ‘Churails’ fame performer received a lot of appreciation not only for her film making it to one of the biggest film festivals of the world, but also for her dress, after wearing which Gilani posted the following status:
“The flag is monumental. It represents me, my land, my struggles, my culture. It is the embodiment of what I am as an artist and to represent it at #lafestivaldecannes is a dream come true. This is for all those who believed in me, for those who supported me and for my land of amazing people.”
After establishing herself as one of the finest actresses of Pakistan with a career spanning over more than a decade, Sarwat Gilani recently won Indian hearts as well when she featured in two web-series – ‘Churails’ and ‘Qatil Haseenao’n Ke Naam’.
With her film ‘Joyland’ now making it to Cannes, Gilani has garnered an international following for herself.
