Temperature continues to rise in Sindh, Punjab

The threat of a heatwave continues to loom over various parts of the country, including Sindh and Punjab.

In Nawabshah, the temperature is expected to soar to 51 degrees Celsius, while in Sukkur, it will reach 49 degrees. Multan will experience temperatures as high as 47 degrees.

Residents of Lahore will face 45 degrees, Islamabad 42 degrees, and Peshawar 44 degrees today.

In Karachi, although the temperature will be 38 degrees, it will feel like 43 degrees. In Gilgit, temperatures are expected to rise to 38 degrees, and in Muzaffarabad, to 41 degrees.

In Hyderabad, the severe heatwave has prompted local authorities to provide relief efforts, including distributing free drinks, umbrellas, and headscarves, and using fire brigade vehicles to spray water in an effort to cool down the streets.
