The post garnered thousands of likes and attracted numerous comments, including one from veteran actress Shabana Azmi.
Azmi couldn’t resist praising Aly’s radiant smile, expressing, “Uff! Yeh muskurahat (this smile),” accompanied by a couple of red heart emojis.
For those unaware, Sajal Aly shared the screen with Shabana Azmi in Jemima Khan’s cross-cultural romantic comedy film ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?’, directed by Shekhar Kapur.
‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?’ boasts an ensemble cast featuring Lily James, Emma Thompson, Shazad Latif, Rob Brydon, Asim Chaudhry, Jeff Mirza, Oliver Chris, and Naufal Azmir Khan.
The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2022 and had a theatrical release in February 2023.
