Shan Masood furious for being called ‘Safarshi’

Test captain Shan Masood has expressed his frustration with the persistent taunts of being ‘recommended’ in his career. In an interview with a British magazine, Masood said that such remarks have always troubled him, highlighting that his family has no influence on selection processes over the past decade.

Reflecting on his journey, Masood revealed that despite being sidelined from the national team for six years, he remained dedicated to excelling in domestic cricket through fair means. However, he lamented that public perception often sways towards unfounded rumors.

Addressing the challenges of leadership, Masood underscored the broader responsibilities beyond the field, acknowledging the widespread admiration for Babar Azam while emphasizing the need for continuity despite changes in personnel. He acknowledged the difficulty in replacing a beloved figure like Azam but stressed the importance of leading the team according to his own principles.
