Sher Afzal declare to not work with PTI’s current leadership

Sher Afzal Marwat, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Member of the National Assembly (MNA), declared his decision to distance himself from the current PTI leadership. Addressing the media outside Adiala Jail Rawalpindi, Marwat expressed frustration over being denied access to PTI founder Imran Khan on consecutive occasions.

He attributed this obstruction to Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, citing alleged objections from the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) regarding his acceptability. Marwat also mentioned the cancellation of his nomination for the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) due to objections from the Saudi ambassador, indicating his waning interest in the position.

Asserting his lack of personal ambition for positions, Marwat stated his loyalty to the party’s original vision and expressed dissatisfaction with the treatment he has received from the party’s official media team. He recounted his removal from the political committee by a vote and revealed his initial reluctance to contest elections, which he did at the request of Imran Khan.

Marwat concluded by reaffirming his commitment to PTI’s founding principles and called for new leadership to emerge, pledging to support them while promising to expose their true intentions once they’ve made their statements.
