Shireen Mazari claims Sharif and Zardari families seek to rule like kings

Shireen Mazari, a former federal minister, recently made statements alleging that both the Sharif and Zardari families harbor desires akin to establishing a kingdom within Pakistan’s political landscape.

These assertions were delivered by Mazari during a media interaction outside an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi, where she had appeared in connection with government proceedings.

Expressing her views, Mazari criticized the incumbent government, insinuating that its members aspire for authoritarian rule, contrasting this with the frequent appearances of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in court, purportedly facing unfounded charges orchestrated by what she termed as an illegitimate administration.

Mazari further asserted that the PTI, despite its current legal battles, is unjustly labeled as the sole perpetrators of terrorism, stating
a perceived lack of governmental efficacy. Regarding her own political future, Mazari refrained from making definitive statements, citing her current hiatus from active political engagement.
