Shootout leaves one killed, three injured in Lodhran

LODHRAN: A violent confrontation erupted in Lodhran when four individuals en route to the local court were allegedly attacked by their adversaries. The encounter resulted in the death of one person and left three others critically injured.

According to Ramzan’s account submitted to the Police Station City, the victims—Ramzan himself, along with his sons Muharram Khan and Pathane Khan, and nephew Abdul Majeed—were traveling to the local court on motorcycles.

Their journey was abruptly interrupted near the railway gate in Mauza Kondi, Me Sharif, by a group consisting of Aman, Feroze, Gulab, Shehbaz, Shaukat, Sanul, Najmi, Sabir, Jund Wada, Yameen, Aamir, and Ali Hassan. Allegedly, this group opened fire on them, causing severe injuries.

Tragically, Muharram Ali succumbed to his wounds upon arrival at the hospital.
Adding to the tragic incident, Muhammad Nawab claimed that his partner, Ali Hasan, was also critically injured due to alleged gunfire from Saber. Despite medical efforts, Ali Hasan’s injuries proved fatal after reaching the hospital, as per police sources.

The roots of this fatal confrontation trace back thirteen years when a dispute over a goat transaction ignited animosity between the two groups, who are closely related. This enmity has led to three previous fatalities and, regrettably, claimed two more lives today.

While the case has been officially registered and transferred, SHO Police Station City, Istiqar Ahmed Gujar, confirmed that no arrests have been made regarding the accused individuals involved in this heinous act. The investigation into this distressing event continues, as authorities strive to bring justice to the victims and their families.
