Sindh’s Chief Minister promises strong actions to maintain law and order

During a meeting on law and order chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari at the Chief Minister House, a comprehensive strategy to combat street crimes and kidnapping for ransom has been devised, as stated by Murad Ali Shah.

President Zardari stated the apprehension of bandits’ facilitators in the katcha areas and an intensified crackdown on narcotics, as directed by Chief Minister Shah.

Highlighting the president’s stance on encroachments and land grabbing, CM Shah assured that the Sindh government would rigorously enforce his directives.

Sharjeel Memon, the Provincial Minister of excise, and taxation, and anti-narcotics, informed the session about the arrest of a Nigerian national in connection with drug trafficking. Additionally, he reported three drug-pushers killed in a crackdown in Hyderabad, with subsequent legal actions taken.

Moreover, the meeting decided on increased surveillance in schools to shield children from drug-related risks.

With a focus on collaborative efforts, the chief minister urged the excise department to enhance anti-narcotics operations in coordination with other provinces and federal entities.

Corps Commander Karachi pledged unwavering support to the Sindh government for the effective execution of the anti-narcotics campaign.
