A pair dressed as Spiderman and Spiderwoman found themselves in police custody after multiple videos of their daring motorcycle stunts on a busy road went viral.
One video, posted on Instagram, showed them riding without helmets or a visible number plate in Delhi’s Najafgarh area.
Authorities arrested them for violating various traffic rules, including driving without helmets, licenses, and displaying a number plate.
A senior police officer stated that the couple was booked under different sections of the Motor Vehicle (MV) Act.
Their faces couldn’t be seen in the viral video titled “Spiderman in Najafgarh,” which gained significant traction on Instagram.
The male rider, who goes by “your friendly neighborhood Indian spidey” on Instagram, frequently shares videos of himself in the Spiderman suit, including one where he sells onions from a pushcart.
The woman, known as “spideygwen_official” on Instagram, describes herself as “your one and only Spider Gwen.”
The couple received cheers from the audience at the WaConne Anifest in Delhi, where they appeared on stage.
