Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued to experience a bearish trend today with trading starting in the negative zone.
On the fourth business day of the week, the market saw a decline of 159 points bringing the 100 Index down to 74,797 points. This follows the previous trading day’s close where the 100 Index fell by 250 points ending at 74,956 points.
US dollar rate:
Meanwhile, there was a slight decrease in the value of the US dollar in the interbank market. On the fourth business day of the week, the dollar’s price dropped by 7 paisas bringing it to 278.40 PKR.
This combination of a stock market downturn and a minor decrease in the dollar rate reflects the current economic fluctuations and investor sentiments in Pakistan.
