Stock market sees second consecutive day of decline

Lahore: Pakistan’s stock market continued its downward trend for the second consecutive day causing investors to suffer losses in billions.

On the second day of the business week, trading on the Pakistan Stock Exchange concluded in the negative zone resulting in a decrease of 592 points in the 100 index closing at 71,102 points.

It is noteworthy that on the last day of the previous business week, the stock market closed at 71,695 points with a decrease of 1047 points in the 100 index.

Today, transactions worth Rs. 15,330,612,599 involving 23,290,126,683 shares were conducted in the stock market.
