Taylor Swift stuns fans with Portuguese at first ever show in Portugal

Taylor Swift surprised the audience by speaking Portuguese during her first two performances at Lisbon’s Estádio da Luz stadium on Friday, May 24.

The 34-year-old singer amazed the crowd as she spoke in the local language at the beginning of her debut show in Lisbon, Portugal.

In a viral video, the “Tortured Poets Department” singer addressed the audience at Estádio da Luz.

With her hand on her heart, Swift expressed her gratitude, saying, “Muito obrigada,” which means “thank you very much” in English.

While performing center stage, she enthusiastically exclaimed, “Oh, Lisbon, you’re making me feel amazing right now!”

She frequently switched between English and Portuguese, clutching her chest before resuming the concert.

Asking for assistance from the audience, the “Antihero” hitmaker said, “Ayuda por favor.”

This sold-out concert in Portugal marked her return after a hiatus following the cancellation of her Alive festival in 2020 due to the pandemic.

For those unfamiliar, the Grammy-winner performed various hits, including “The Smallest Man in the World” and “Champagne Problems,” among others.
