Taylor Swift’s music returns to TikTok amid dispute over artist compensation

Taylor Swift’s music has made a comeback on TikTok ahead of her new album release, despite disputes between her record label, Universal Music, and the platform over artist compensation and AI.

Swift regained control over her music through a 2018 deal with Universal, unlike many other artists.

The label stopped licensing content to TikTok when their agreement ended in January, citing issues with compensation.

TikTok refuted these claims, leading to the removal of thousands of songs from the platform.

Despite this, Swift’s music is now back on TikTok.
