CCTV footage has emerged showing three AVLC officers, identified as Sub-Inspector Mukhtiar Ahmed, ASI Muhammad Ramzan, and Constable Shamsher, allegedly kidnapping a citizen in a police vehicle.
Following this revelation, all three officers have been arrested and a case has been filed against them.In a separate incident, a customs officer has been implicated in a kidnapping for ransom case.
Last month, an inquiry by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations revealed that three police officials, among others, abducted two traders for ransom in Rawalpindi. The victims were held captive for four hours and released after a ransom payment of Rs700,000.
Two police officers involved in the incident have been identified, and a case has been registered against them at Cantt police station. The abductors also recorded a video of the kidnapped businessmen, according to the report.
