TikTok ready to take on Twitter with major update

Following Meta’s lead, TikTok has decided to challenge the social media platform Twitter (now known as X) by introducing a new feature that promises to revolutionize the user experience.

TikTok users can now create posts that include not only videos and photos but also text-based content.

This new feature resembles Twitter’s tweets but has a similar look and feel to Instagram Stories.

TikTok users can now decorate their text with background colors and also edit the style of their text.

The social media platform has also provided the option to add music and stickers to text posts.

Each TikTok text post is limited to a thousand characters, and users can use these text posts for stitching and dueting as well.

The addition of text features in an app that has previously focused on short videos is quite interesting for tech companies, as it compels them to adopt short-form videos as well.

This move comes at a time when Twitter is making efforts to compete with threaded posts, Fleets, and other platforms.

Due to various changes and limitations in Twitter’s features (for non-subscription users), many users are turning to other apps, and TikTok seems to be drawing them in with its intriguing updates.
