Tragic lightning strikes claim 3 lives in Lodhran amidst rainfall

Three individuals, one of whom was a woman, met a tragic fate in Lodhran on Saturday as they were struck by lightning in separate incidents amid rainfall.

According to Rescue 1122, the initial occurrence unfolded in the Kalhewala area of Basti Beriwala near Munshiwali Pull in Dhannot.

Mithu Mai, who was working in the fields, was fatally struck by lightning on the spot.

The second incident occurred in Chak No. 342 WB, a suburb of Duniyapur, where 23-year-old shepherd Muhammad Azhar, son of Muhammad Iqbal from 342 WB, lost his life to a lightning strike.

Meanwhile, in Mujaldiwala, a subdivision of Kahror Pakka, 65-year-old shepherd Bashir Ahmad, son of Allah Wasaya from Mujaldiwala, also fell victim to lightning. Despite the swift response of Rescue 1122 personnel who provided medical assistance and conducted examinations at the scenes, all three individuals succumbed to their injuries.

Consequently, the bodies were handed over to their respective families.
