Transformative Training Event Shapes Advocacy for Disability Inclusive Health

Islamabad – Following a resounding success, the Pakistan Health Parliament recently concluded a landmark training event dedicated to Disability Inclusive Health. The event, held today, brought together Health Parliamentarians for an evening of enlightenment and strategic discussions, equipping them with the knowledge and tools essential for championing inclusive healthcare practices.

The event commenced with a solemn recitation of the Quran and the National Anthem, setting a thoughtful tone for the evening. Dr. Afaf Manzoor, Chairperson of the Disability Inclusion Council, Pakistan Health Parliament, delivered a compelling overview of the inclusion of disabled individuals in healthcare and highlighted the unique needs of cognitively challenged patients.

Mr. Jawad Ahmed, Focal Person of the Disability Inclusion Council, took the stage next to illuminate the needs of audibly challenged patients, while Mr. Waqas Ramzan, Member of the Disability Inclusion Council, addressed the specific requirements of visually challenged patients. The session delved into the needs of physically challenged patients, with insights from Ms. Saira Ayub.

A pivotal moment in the evening was the interactive session with Health Parliamentarians, fostering dynamic discussions and collaborative approaches towards advancing inclusive healthcare advocacy.
