Trudeau attends Khalsa Day in Toronto; pro-Khalistan slogans raised

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the Khalsa Day event in Toronto, where slogans supporting Khalistan were raised by attendees.

Trudeau pledged to protect the rights of Canadian Sikhs and fight against any forms of hate or discrimination.

Pro-Khalistan slogans were chanted in the presence of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during the Khalsa Day celebrations on Sunday.

Understanding the security concerns of the Sikh community, Justin Trudeau announced that security would be increased at community centres and gurdwaras. He reassured the public that the government is dedicated to safeguarding the freedom to practice religion.

Earlier, a rally marking the event featured banners with anti-India and pro-Khalistan messages. Trudeau also shared a video of the event on X and sent his best wishes to Sikhs for Khalsa Day.

According to political analysts, Prime Minister Trudeau has criticized Indian state terrorism after the killing of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, reportedly by Indian intelligence agencies.
