UK Conducts Airstrikes on Houthi-Held Saada in Yemen

On Wednesday, the US and UK conducted another airstrike on Houthi targets in Yemen’s Saada province, part of a series of strikes aimed at the Yemeni militia group, which has persisted in attacking ships in the Red Sea. The Houthi media confirmed the strike in Saada’s Baqoum area but didn’t specify targets or any resulting damage. These strikes, ongoing since January, have targeted military installations, drone launchers, and ammunition depots in an effort to deter Houthi attacks on maritime routes. The US Central Command reports frequent interceptions of Houthi drones and missiles aimed at ships, while the Houthis claim to target ships linked to Israel in a bid to lift the blockade on Gaza.
