Ukrainian forces destroy 26 Russian drones in recent overnight attack

According to Kyiv’s military, Ukrainian forces successfully downed 26 out of 28 attack drones deployed by Russia overnight.

The drones, which were of Iranian origin, were destroyed over various regions in eastern, southern, and southeastern Ukraine.

Debris from the drones caused injuries to two women in Zaporizhzhia, and property damage was reported in the Kharkiv region.

Additionally, Russia’s attack involved multiple missile types, with some missiles launched from planes over the Black Sea losing their effectiveness.

Governor Oleh Kiper of the desa region mentioned a separate missile strike by Russia later in the morning, but no injuries were reported, although the target was not specified.

Russia has been conducting regular airstrikes on civilian areas well beyond the front lines of its ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
