US claims that there is “abundant evidence” that Iranian drones are being used by Russia

United States Secretary of State Spokesperson Ned Price on Wednesday stated that the US has “abundant evidence” of the involvement of Iran-made drones in Russia’s recent attacks on Ukraine.

As per the Anadolu Agency report, Price in a statement said “The United States began warning in July that Iran was planning to transfer UAVs to Russia for use in Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine, and we now have abundant evidence that these UAVs are being used to strike Ukrainian civilians and critical civilian infrastructure.”

He further claims that Iran is continuously lying about the supply of weapons to Russia but the US along with its allies is working to stop this transfer of weapons to Russia.

Price also warns Iran and Russia of sanctions if both states don’t stop the transfer.

Ned also stated that the United States, along with the United Kingdom and France, brought up the topic of Iran’s transmission of drones to Russia at a UN Security Council meeting.
He went on to say that the US continues supporting Ukraine by providing security assistance and air defence capabilities to defend itself against Russia.

“We expressed our grave concerns about Russia’s acquisition of these UAVs from Iran in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231, “Price added.

After Russia Recent strike on Ukraine Zelensky and western powers claimed that Iran-made Shahed-136 drones were used by Russia. But Iran rejected all the claims made by Zelensky and western influences.

However, on Wednesday Iran agreed to supply Russia with additional surface-to-surface missiles and drones to counter Ukraine.
